Starting in July of 2008 California will have new driving laws that relates to Cell Phones. The first new law will prohibit anyone from using a hand held cell phones while driving. Hand-free phone devices will be allowed to adults 18 and older. The second new driving law prohibits drivers under age 18 to use hand held and hands free phone devices at all. These two new laws are going to affect a lot of Californian drivers. Are Californians really ready for these two new driving cell phone laws?
Also now days the Hands free equipment are not only for making a call anymore. It's like having a mini computer with you all the time. Adults used it also for social networking, receive and send emails, Sending SMS and more.

Get a hands free device (Bluetooth headset). Research has found that by using a hands-free device, drivers are spending less time handling the device such as dialing or picking up the cell phone. Even though this will not completely eliminate the distractions, it will certainly make the trip safer for others and yourself.
Kurnai was a very dear friend. The comments that his hearing aids friends made at his funeral would not have upset him. As a deaf person, he would have smiled and accepted the fact that no harm was intended. This is another example of the differences in our cultures. While listening to the stories of his life I was upset by the mis-understandings. I was embarrassed by the 'politically incorrect' statements that hearing people were making. I was upset and felt the need to defend Kurnai's statement that "Deafness is not a Disability".
